ASTRID LINDGREN'S NÄS
Astrid Lindgren’s Näs is a cultural centre in Vimmerby. It was opened in 2007 by the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria.
The complex includes Astrid Lindgren’s birthplace and childhood home, which is now open to tourists and other visitors. Here, you will also find Pippi Longstocking’s genuine Lemonade Tree.
The new Pavilion contains a cinema as well as an extensive exhibition about the author, “The Whole World’s Astrid Lindgren”. In the old rectory nearby there is a research centre and a museum.
