The alderman in Bäckhult went to town. He passed by Johan, who was standing looking for the sledge. Johan thought of the terrible thing that had happened yesterday: their only cow had eaten herself to death on a nail! Little did he know then that Bäckhult would have bring something home from town, something fun...The story of Bäckhultarn was first published in 1951 in the anthology A car comes loaded.
